Hi, I’m Libby - Counsellor, Listener, Human Being.

I’m an NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) Accredited Registrant and hold a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Prof. Dip Psy C.). Most of my counselling experience has been in the charity sector, supporting people with lived experiences of trauma, abuse or challenging relationships through long-term therapy.

At the core of my work is connection - whether that’s with others or, more often, your relationship with yourself. Together, we’ll gently explore who you are beneath the layers of roles, expectations, and labels that you may have internalised over time, helping you to reconnect with your authentic, whole self, without pressure or judgement.

Like many people, I spent years trying to fit into boxes that didn’t quite feel right, never quite feeling like I belonged to one place or group. I had taken in a lot of unspoken rules and messaging about who I was supposed to be, and it left me feeling disconnected from myself and who I had the potential to be. Over time, I realised that my feeling of misalignment was because I wasn’t listening to the different parts of me that needed to be heard.

Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to carry it alone, and together we can work towards finding a way forward that feels true to who you are.

So, I did something big. I stepped away from the ‘shoulds’ of the conventional life I had been living and started a journey of self-discovery and self-reflection. I travelled the world, experienced different cultures, worked in a variety of industries and locations, explored new ideas, and most importantly, I learned to tune into what really matters to me. I came to understand that there’s no one way to “do life”, and that being ourselves, fully and unapologetically, is the most valuable thing we can offer.

That belief is at the core of my counselling approach. I show up as my authentic self, and work in alignment with my values and ethics, and I invite you to do the same. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, low mood, struggling with relationships (past or present), or just feeling out of sorts and misaligned with your life, I am here to support you to explore those feelings, make sense of your story, heal and get to know all parts of yourself.

After our consultation, if we feel like a good fit, you can book a 50-minute in-person session to explore your situation, past, and goals. Sessions are held in a calm, private space designed to help you feel at ease.

Regular sessions will be scheduled weekly at the same time and location (flexibility can be discussed if needed). With each session tailored to what feels most meaningful to you in that moment.
